Room 9

Welcome to room 9!

 We have had a very busy year with a group of 7 energetic students in Rm 9.

There is Levi, Dale, Jordan, Riley, Lliam, Jake and Dylan. Our program incorporates a range of activities that enable the students to develop and extend in the areas of communication and social skills.

Programs include Speech Therapy, Music, Library, Occupational Therapy, Music Therapy, Physical Education, Integration at Karingal Heights Primary School, Art, Maths Rotation Program, Computer and Swimming.

Highlights for 2009 have included: Swimming, Footy Day, Literacy Day, Basketball Clinic, local excursion to the beach, Mordialloc Park and the Farm mobile zoo incursion.The children have enjoyed attending Integration at Karingal Heights Primary School where they have made lot of friends and required less adult assistance when paired up with a buddy for tasks within the classroom. This is a big achievement.

 Our many achievements include spectacular developments in- Dale's social skills and courage to try new things, Levi's communication skills and writing, Riley's reading and independence skills, Dylan's cooperation and independence, Lliam's speech and writing, Jordan's communication skills using PECS and Jack's concentration and social skills - just to name a few!
