A big hello from Room 6!  We have been busy, busy, busy as usual.

As a group our favourite activities are making our own rolls each week, acting out our stories and dressing up, singing and dancing and sharing photos, toys and stories from home in show and tell.  We will work hard but love to play hard too!

In term one we enjoyed the topic, Me and My Family. We looked at pictures of our family, friends and pets from home and enjoyed sharing them with the class. We loved learning about our senses and exploring the use of them in isolation. For example we tasted a variety of tastes blind folded and had to identify the flavour using only our sense of taste. Jam was a firm favourite, however most were not keen on the lemon.

In second term our topic was animals. We enjoyed reading the stories 'Walking Through The Jungle' and 'Pig in the Pond'. We loved interacting with the stories, especially making the big splash when the pig goes in the pond! A big highlight of the term was a visit from the Myuna Mobile Farm. We got to feed and pat the ducks, guinea pigs, turtle, lamb and rabbits. It was lots of fun and really bought all the animals from the stories to life!
