Early Education Program

Frankston Special Developmental School offers an Early Education program specifically designed for pre school children with a significant develoopmental delay. The program caters for children aged between 2 years 8 months and 4 years 8 months as at the 1st January of the year of entry.

The program offers:

• Professional staff experienced in working with children with special, varied and often complex needs.
• A developmental  play focus with ongoing assessment.
• Formal and informal reporting to parents.
• Access to physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy where appropriate.
• Toilet training program.
• Varied communication methods, eg. Compic, makaton, Picture Exchange Communication System, Cued Articulation.
• Computer education
• Sensory program
• Music and movement
