The Homecrafts Program is planned to present a variety of opportunities for the students to experience food in different ways.

The students are asked to listen to the sounds of food cooking, to smell ingredients, to touch and feel the differing textures, to become involved in the preparation of a great variety of foods and drinks and of course to taste the items when they are fresh or cooked.

Central to the program is an emphasis on good hygiene and safety in the kitchen. It provides an opportunity to practise the social skills of sharing, taking turns and learning good table manners.
